Lilly Goldberg
Leadership Alliances Coordinator

Lilly GoldbergLilly Goldberg is the leadership alliances coordinator at Americans for the Arts. She creates and manages relationship-building programs that forge and improve connections with individuals who have the capacity to heighten the profile and fundraising capacity of the organization.

Prior to joining the staff of Americans for the Arts, Lilly served as the development associate and special events manager at Imagination Stage in Bethesda, MD. There, she produced all donor-related special events, including the organization’s annual gala, its only major fundraising event. Additionally, Lilly managed Imagination Stage’s donor benefits program and successfully streamlined donation processes while increasing the company’s earned income line.

In addition to her time at Imagination Stage, Lilly has taught at the Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center and worked at The Phillips Collection and Jewish Historical Society of Greater Washington. She has also interned at many art institutions throughout the DC Metro Region and beyond, including the National Museum of Women in the Arts; the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institution; the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, Connecticut; the Harris Museum and Art Gallery in Preston, England; and Americans for the Arts.

Lilly received her B.A. in art history from Keene State College and her M.A. in museum studies from the University of Manchester, England where she co-founded the Digital Heritage blog, a forum that examines the theory and practice of digital media in museums, galleries, and other cultural and heritage institutions.

A native of Connecticut with deep Washington roots, Lilly sings and plays the guitar, is an avid supporter of the local bluegrass and visual arts scene, and a cribbage enthusiast.
