Communications and Content Manager
Caitlin joined Americans for the Arts in July 2013, and is part of the Marketing, Communications, and Technology team. As Communications and Content Manager, she is responsible for identifying, creating, and distributing valuable messaging and stories from every AFA program to attract, acquire, and engage Americans for the Arts’ constituents.
A recently-returned DC area native, Caitlin comes to Americans for the Arts with a wealth of experience in telling an organization’s story using both traditional and new media. She previously worked as the Communications and Development Coordinator for Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia, where she was responsible for the organizational e-newsletters, print newsletters, social media accounts, and website. She overhauled and managed the redesign of the organization’s website to an open-source CMS and managed the implementation of the cloud-based CRM database Salesforce.com to streamline processes and to better organize information internally.
Caitlin graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts in Mass Communications and Spanish from Loyola University New Orleans. Prior to working in the nonprofit sector, she worked as an English teacher and Photographer in both the U.S. and abroad in Mexico and Costa Rica. In addition to photography, she loves lithography, painting, and dancing.
