US Bank Art Exhibit Opens at the Kentucky Museum
The US Bank Celebration of the Arts
exhibit has opened at the Kentucky Museum in Bowling Green, KY, and
will run through April 2. The art show originated in US Bank’s
downtown office in Bowling Green several years prior to its current
location at the Kentucky Museum. Through this partnership, the exhibit
has grown to now showcase nearly 400 artworks by regional artists.
Select works will be on sale and the proceeds will benefit the Kentucky
Library & Museum and the WKU Visual Arts Department Scholarship

Dominion Resources Honors Virginian Arts Organizations
Dominion Resources, one of the nation’s largest producers and

present the Dominion ArtStars Awards in 2011. The awards recognize arts
organizations that best demonstrate contributions made to the community

AMC Theaters Partners with Kansas City Independent Film Festival
AMC Theatres, a leading theatrical exhibition and entertainment company
headquartered in Kansas City, and the Kansas City Filmmakers Jubilee
proudly announce a partnership to honor independent filmmaking at the
AMC Theatres Kansas City FilmFest. The partnership will expand the
visibility of the film festival and promotes the importance of

Hartford Honors Hometown Companies
On February 10, the Greater Hartford Arts Council hosted the Big Red
for the Arts benefit to officially kick-off the 2011 United Arts
Campaign. The campaign supports more than 150 local arts and heritage
organization through grants and services. Northeast Utilities and
United Technologies Corporation—both recipients of the 2010 BCA
Awards—were recognized at the event by Americans for the Arts
President and CEO Robert Lynch. In addition, the Greater Hartford Arts
Council and Lynch recognized event sponsor Wells Fargo, a 2005
recipient of the BCA 10 Award, for its continued support of the arts.

25th Anniversary for Business for Culture and the Arts
The Business for Culture and the Arts (BCA) in Portland, OR turns 25
years old this year. The organization encourages large and small
businesses to support local arts groups through funding initiatives and
currently serves a membership of 180 businesses, including Nike and
Boeing. In addition, the BCA has trained 350 people during the course
of 10 years in the art of raising money and applying their management

Social Impact Survey say that crowd-sourcing is valuable to their
organizations, and cite social media as tools for their Corporate
Social Responsibility (CSR) programming. Survey results indicate that
crowd-sourcing reveals new perspectives and diverse opinions and allows
companies to connect directly with consumers in low-cost, efficient
