Claudia Bach, principal and founder of AdvisArts Consulting, is noted for bringing creative yet pragmatic solutions to the challenges of the cultural sector. She is committed to helping cultural organizations, the public sector, and individual artists tackle questions with timely information, enhanced skills, honesty, and openness to unexpected answers. The results are well crafted strategies that synthesize Claudia's more than 30 years of professional experience in the arts with the passion and vision of her clients. She played a key role in the expansion of the Henry Art Gallery, the art museum of the University of Washington, as deputy director, and served as the lead consultant for Leveraging Investments in Creativity’s initiatives on artists and health coverage, and works with a wide range of arts and cultural organizations, community, and governmental entities. Claudia brings considerable management and administrative expertise to her clients as well as broad experience in strategic and cultural planning, public affairs, marketing and media relations, partnership development, board and fund development, program development, training, evaluation and research. She has spoken and published on many topics including capacity building and change management, and is a frequent presenter of workshops and classes. Claudia received her bachelors degree in art history, magna cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a masters degree in communications from the University of Washington, where her research focus was on museums and diverse audiences. She is based in Seattle.
