Associate
Bullivant Houser Bailey PC
Brian Keeley is a senior associate in the firm's employment and employee benefits group. He provides advice, counseling, and litigation services in the areas of employment, employee benefits, and ERISA. Brian represents employers of all sizes in dispute resolution and litigation of employment claims. He defends claims by employees with the EEOC, the Washington Human Rights Commission, and state and federal court. He handles litigation when employees bring claims of discrimination, harassment, failure to accommodate disabilities, wrongful termination, and violation of wage and hour laws including the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act (LLFPA). He advises and counsels employers on how to avoid those disputes by putting into place the appropriate policies and properly handling employee complaints before they rise to the level of litigation. In addition, Brian represents employers; welfare benefit plans; and life, health, and disability insurers in litigation under ERISA over employee welfare benefits. He also represents life, health, and disability insurers in non-ERISA litigation in claims over benefits and allegations of bad faith.
