Ruby Classen works in the Grants & Services Department coordinating the fall and spring project support application cycles, providing constituent support, and assisting with technical assistance grants, Individual Artist Fellowship program, and the newly created OPPArt: Opportunities for Artists professional development series for individual artists. She also spent time working under the vice president of finance and administration, assisting with and learning about the day-to-day operational needs of the arts council. Mrs. Classen serves as president of the Board of Trustees for the Little Theatre Off Broadway (LTOB) located in Grove City, OH; a delegate for LTOB and a Central Regional Representative for the Ohio Community Theatre Association; a representative for LTOB to the Theatre Roundtable; and a volunteer and member to Emerald City Players in Dublin. She also served on the Steering Committee for the young professionals group for the American Red Cross of Columbus (Friends of the Red Cross). A transplant from California to Ohio, she taught dance classes for seven years to children ages 6–12 in the areas of tap, jazz, ballet, and hip hop and participated in local civic light opera. Mrs. Classen has an associate degree with an emphasis in accounting and spent six years working in corporate affairs for Intimate Brands/Limited Brands, Inc.
