Carol Lewis provides strategic leadership for the board and staff, and also works closely with the membership to promote Philanthropy Northwest’s mission across a six state region. Prior to joining Philanthropy Northwest in 2005, Carol was Corporate Secretary and Chief Administrative Officer for Coinstar, Inc. Carol has also served as Executive Director of Pacific Northwest Ballet and as the City of Seattle’s Deputy Mayor under former Mayor Charles Royer. She currently serves as on the boards of the Seattle Parks Foundation, Washington Women's Foundation, and the Nesholm Family Foundation. Carol earned a B.A. in economics and political science at Stanford University, and a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University.
