Title The Cultural Alliance of Southeastern Michigan
Abstract The Cultural Alliance of Southeastern Michigan serves a seven-county region (Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne). It represents diverse arts and cultural nonprofit organizations, from small grassroots groups to major institutions. It will bring together these organizations to improve their collective service to the community and to strengthen their ability to fulfill their individual missions. Its three main goals are to: 1) Meet the needs of regional residents and contribute to community vitality 2) Increase collaborations among arts organizations to maximize community participation and impact 3) Facilitate the sharing of resources, information and expertise to help arts organizations to be innovative, effective and sustainable.
Summary The Community Foundation for Southeastern Michigan, in partnership with the McGregor Fund and the Hudson-Webber Foundation, creadted the Cultural Alliance of SouthEastern Michigan with the goal of bringing together arts and cultural organizations.
