Executive Assistant to the President & CEO

Kendra joined the staff of Americans for the Arts in August 2013 as the executive assistant to the president and CEO, but first arrived at Americans for the Arts as an intern in the Leadership Alliances department. Prior to joining Americans for the Arts, she worked in the Office of Development at Stanford University and interned at the Public Theater in New York City in the Associate Producer and Shakespeare Initiative departments. Through the Shakespeare Initiative, she had the opportunity to help lead Richard III workshops for New York State Correctional Facility inmates.

A military child for most of her life, Kendra first encountered theater through musical films at six years old while living abroad in Japan. She participated in plays and musicals in various onstage and backstage capacities from elementary through high school. She received her B.A. in English from Stanford University where she was regularly involved in theater as an actress and then as a producer. In her free time, she enjoys kickboxing, attending theatrical performances, and writing.
