Prior to joining the Americans for the Arts staff full-time in November 2006, Natalie was an intern for the Government and Public Affairs department. Natalie works with the Director of Federal Affairs to monitor legislation and Congressional activities. She is responsible for coordinating Arts Advocacy Day events and materials including the production of the Congressional Arts Handbook and Breakfast. She manages the network of State and Local District Arts Advocacy Captains and administers the State Capwiz Affiliate program, coordinating advocacy efforts and providing training and technical support.

A Central Illinois native, Natalie received her bachelor of science degrees in political science and music from Bradley University and a master of arts degree in legislative affairs from The George Washington University.
