Anthony Stepter
Leadership Alliances Associate
Anthony is the leadership alliances associate at Americans for the Arts. He brings to Americans for the Arts a deep interest in arts policy and an enthusiasm for public art. As a member of the Leadership Alliances department, Anthony works to ensure that potential arts leaders are brought to the attention of the organization and encouraged to become involved with the arts.
Anthony earned a B.S. in sociology and a B.B.A. in marketing from Grand Valley State University. During college, Anthony worked as an intern at Sotheby’s and in the Scheduling Division for Governor Jennifer Granholm of Michigan.
Prior to joining Americans for the Arts, Anthony worked in the Development and Public Relations departments at the Grand Rapids Art Museum. While in the Development department, Anthony worked on the museum’s $75 million Capital Campaign.
Anthony is a former participant of the Civic Studio, a project designed to explore artistic practice within the context of civic life and space. Anthony acted as curator for the Walking Papers neighborhood exploration project and participated in several other endeavors through the Civic Studio.
