Leadership Alliances Manager
Christine Meehan is currently the leadership alliances manager at Americans for the Arts. In this role, she works closely with the vice president of leadership alliances on strategies on how best to leverage and cultivate relationships with individuals and sponsors involved with various cultivation events that Americans for the Arts hosts across the country. In addition, she serves as the program lead on all Americans for the Arts policy forums including the National Arts Policy Roundtable and the Aspen Seminar for Leadership in the Arts, as well as other DC and regional cultivation events.
Christine originally joined Americans for the Arts in March 2008 as the leadership alliances coordinator, coordinating the National Arts Awards. Prior to that, she was the resource development coordinator at Greater DC Cares, the leading coordinator of volunteerism and corporate philanthropy in the Washington region.
Christine graduated from The George Washington University with a B.A. in political science and a minor in criminal justice. While in college, Christine interned for the Gephardt for President Campaign in the Scheduling and Advance Department, as well as in the Congressional Office of Congressman Anthony Weiner.
Christine is also an accomplished classical pianist, having studied for more than 15 years.
