Alison French
Director of Arts Marketing and Audience Engagement
Alison French is the director of arts marketing and audience engagement. Her responsibilities include the programmatic development of a suite of services in the areas of marketing, media, and audience engagement, including the annual National Arts Marketing Project Conference, a year-long webinar series, local marketing workshops, and the ArtsMarketing.org website.
French is an accomplished producer of theater and dance with more than 15 years of experience in the entertainment and events industries. At Blue Man Productions, she provided senior leadership to Blue Man Group's theatrical productions in New York, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Toronto, and Orlando and guided the launch of several of the company's shows and special appearances in new markets. Earlier in her career, French was general manager for the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and the production stage manager for Pilobolus Dance Theatre.
French continues to be an independent event producer, providing her services to corporate clients across the country. She is an active member of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS where she contributes event management and talent services on a volunteer basis. French serves as board president for Darrah Carr Dance and board member for CorbinDances. French holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University.
