Americans for the Arts

Americans for the Arts is the nation's leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts in America. With a 40-year record of service, we are dedicated to representing and serving local communities and creating opportunities for every American to participate in and appreciate all forms of the arts.

Institute For Community Development and the Arts

Americans for the Arts' Institute for Community Development and the Arts promotes public and private funding for the arts. This is accomplished by educating local arts local arts agencies, elected and appointed municipal officials, and arts funders about the important role of the arts as community change agents for economic, social, and educational problems. The Institute also identifies innovative community arts programs and nontraditional funding sources to enable local arts agencies, arts organizations and local civic officials to adapt these programs in their communities.
