The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs launched the app "MI Amazing Art Tour" in July, with 209 artworks currently and plans to grow. MCACA was the first to launch a state-wide public art-focused app that shows how to get to the different artworks around the state and allow users to participate in self-guided tours. MCACA used expert curators to design the tours around such themes as New Deal artworks and the archtiecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. The app is designed for both Iphone and Android platforms, and provides detail on the artworks such as photos and information.
