Jane Cheung is Vice President of Programs at The Pablove Foundation. She joined in 2013 during a period of significant growth for its arts education and medical research initiatives. Pablove’s mission is to improve the lives of children living with cancer through the arts and invest in pediatric cancer research. She works to build awareness about the power of arts education for the 300,000 youth diagnosed worldwide with cancer each year, and thousands more who are living with their illness. Jane was instrumental in scaling Pablove’s photography program to 15 new cities in the United States and increasing access to in-depth arts experiences focusing on self-expression and storytelling for patients undergoing active treatment for cancer. She has forged partnerships with arts institutions such as The Getty, MoMA, The Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts and the Tacoma Museum of Glass to connect students to their arts community and strengthen their aesthetic literacy skills. Previously, Jane held roles in arts administration at The Music Center of Los Angeles County, and in museum education at the Computer History Museum in Silicon Valley and Chinese American Museum in Los Angeles. She earned Masters of Arts degrees in Education from Stanford University and Arts Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She received her BA in American Studies from the University of CA, Davis and recently completed the Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
