Individual artists as well as employees at performing arts centers and arts organizations all receive income as a result of their involvement in the arts. These people then spend their income on goods and services, which circulates throughout the economy. In addition, people attending arts performances spend money at restaurants, lodging, and shopping near the arts events. This creates an additional impact on the economy.
