Americans for the Arts Scholarships
Americans for the Arts is pleased to offer five full scholarships to arts leaders throughout the country to assist them in participating in the 2007 National Arts Marketing Project Conference. The purpose of these scholarships is to provide assistance for arts professionals to attend the conference to network with peers and share strategies for success. The scholarships cover the main conference registration (November 3-5, 2007), roundtrip airfare*, and up to three nights accommodation at the Hyatt Regency Miami.
To qualify for any of the Americans for the Arts scholarships, you must:
- Be a member in good standing of Americans for the Arts or work for an organization that is a current member of Americans for the Arts.
- Complete and submit the attached application form by August 15, 2007.
- Submit a copy of your resume.
- Submit a report within 30 days after the conference on what you learned or gained by attending. This report may be posted on www.ArtsMarketing.org.
Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis and will be selected by a committee of arts and community leaders. Announcements will be made September 5, 2007. All additional costs for attending the preconference or conference are to be assumed by the scholarship recipient. The preconference is November 2 and will focus on sponsorship.
* Restrictions: Please note that scholarship funds awarded are to be used only for attending the conference from November 3-5, 2007. Airline travel is based on the availability of free/donated tickets from specific airlines. If preferred air travel is unavailable or not served by your local airport, this portion of the scholarship may be unavailable. No substitutions for air travel can be allowed.
