The mission of Houston Arts Alliance (HAA) is to nurture, fund, and promote participation in the arts in Houston and Harris County which it does by providing financial support, technical assistance, and specialized services to artists, arts and civic organizations, and public institutions to ensure that citizens and visitors to the community have access to broad and diverse cultural programs—from avant-garde theater to traditional music to fine arts exhibitions. HAA offers a program of civic art and design dedicated to improving the region’s physical environment through the inclusion of art in infrastructure projects, working through partnerships with the City of Houston, and other public and private sector entities.
