Robert Alpaugh brings more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit performing arts sectors to Campbell & Company and its clients, including work in fundraising, capital campaigns, facility planning, board development, strategic planning, organizational structure, and capacity building. In his initial work with Campbell & Company, Mr. Alpaugh served as interim vice president for development at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. In this role, he assisted the Symphony’s new president in coordinating efforts among marketing, fundraising and public relations staffs while managing day-to-day fundraising operations as the Symphony searched for a permanent development leader.

Opening a new facility is an exciting and challenging undertaking, and Mr. Alpaugh has had the distinction of opening three new theaters. As a leader in the arts and cultural arena, Mr. Alpaugh has worked in opera, theater, dance and music, serving as executive or managing director of institutions such as the Joffrey Ballet, Williamstown Theater Festival, Arizona Theater Company and Victory Gardens Theater.

Mr. Alpaugh lectures frequently on nonprofit management, fundraising, and board development. He has served on the faculties of Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Emory University, Columbia College, and the School of the Art Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of North Carolina. He serves on the Board of Directors of Boston Theater Works.
