Nannette Maciejunes

Nannette V. Maciejunes was named executive director of the Columbus Museum of Art in November 2003 after serving as the acting director for a year and as chief curator for ten years. She received the 2006 Governor’s Award for the Arts in Ohio in the category of Arts Administration. She has been at the Columbus Museum of Art since she began as a curatorial research assistant in 1984, with a brief absence when she served as curator of collections and exhibitions at The Dixon Gallery and Gardens in Memphis.
Ms. Maciejunes attended Stanford’s Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders—Arts in 2006 and the Getty’s Leadership Institute for Museum Management in 1999. She graduated summa cum laude from Denison University with a B.A. in art history and an M.A. and further graduate studies toward a Ph.D. from the Ohio State University. Her area of scholarly expertise is early 20th-century American art and European Modernism.
