As Fractured Atlas' Program Director for Healthcare, Marie Ortiz manages healthcare options for a national community of artists. She develops broad strategies to increase access to low-cost quality healthcare by educating health insurance providers about artists' needs and securing improved benefits through innovative plan design. Ortiz assists artists directly by providing customer service and expert guidance in navigating the healthcare enrollment process. She will complete her master's degree in professional studies for arts and cultural management at Pratt Institute in fall 2007.
