Marian Godfrey

The Pew Charitable Trusts

Marian A. Godfrey is Managing Director of Culture and Civic Initiatives of The Pew Charitable Trusts. From 1989–2003, she served as the Trusts’ Program Director for Culture. Prior to arriving at the Trusts, she spent twelve years as a performing arts manager and consultant in New York City, working as Theater Consultant to AT&T, New York Representative to the La Jolla Playhouse, Media Consultant to the Wooster Group, and Consultant to the Foundation for the Extension and Development of the American Professional Theater. She received her M.F.A. in theater administration from the Yale School of Drama in 1975 and B.A. magna cum laude in English literature from Radcliffe in 1970.
