Seattle's Highlights
Pike Place Market

Sculpture Park
Space Needle
Wineries and Breweries

Seattle is anything but ordinary. Just named "City of the Year" by Fast Company magazine, it is a city where the extraordinary is commonplace and commonplace is anything but. So plan to come early or stay late for the Annual Convention to savor the city.

From downtown take a stroll to Pike Place Market—the "soul of Seattle"—where you can sample seasonal foods, enjoy street performers, and meet local artisans. Or head to the Seattle Art Museum's Olympic Sculpture Park, recently named "Best Cultural Space" by Travel + Leisure magazine. The nine-acre sculpture park features panoramic views and artwork by internationally recognized artists including Louise Bourgeois and Richard Serra.

And Seattle is brimming with architectural riches that include Rem Koolhaas's Seattle Public Library, the Frank Gehry-designed Experience Music Project, and the iconic Space Needle, which has helped to define Seattle's skyline since the 1962 World's Fair.

Consider renting sea kayaks from the Northwest Outdoor Center on Lake Union, just north of Seattle. Or think about heading out of town to sip some of Washington's highly prized wines. The region's top wineries and breweries are located only a short 35-minute drive from Seattle in Woodinville.

From a thriving arts and cultural scene to great shopping, dining, and outdoor adventures, check out all Seattle and the region has to offer. Use our conference microsite to help plan your visit.

While at the Convention, be sure to stop by the Seattle Pavilion in the Washington Convention & Trade Center for recommendations and tips for navigating this great city!
