Kathi Levin

Kathi R. Levin is a long-term national leader in arts education, an author, and consultant in nonprofit governance, arts education, strategic planning, communications, and grantmaking. While serving as the director of governance with the American Association of School Administrators (AASA), she created a multifaceted arts education partnership between AASA and Americans for the Arts. Ms. Levin was director of the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network (KCAAEN) from 1993–2004. She conceived of and authored the KCAAEN's Community Audit for Arts Education, a research-based survey that communities and school districts can use to evaluate their arts education programs, and co-authored the KCAAEN Self Assessment Kit and the Kennedy Center Arts Education Leadership Kit. Ms. Levin authored the Americans for the Arts
