With a long trajectory in the visual arts, Curry-Evans has curated numerous exhibitions about such artists as Beverly McIver, Mark Priest, Charles Stewart, and Milton Bowens, and was the guest curator for HairStories, a nationally touring art exhibit addressing the social, historical, and political impact of African-American hair on popular culture. Curry-Evans is responsible for implementing art exhibitions and educational programming for Oak Park’s 40 Acres Arts Gallery. 40 Acres Art Gallery is integrated within a larger entity consisting of a performing arts facility, an African-American bookstore, a coffee shop, a barbershop, and 12 apartments.
