The Carson Chamber Singers, directed by Michael Langham, begins its 31st season with a pair of concerts—Sunday, Nov. 1, at 7:00 p.m., and Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 7:30 p.m.—both at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 314 N. Division St. in Carson City. A highlight of the concerts will be the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré. The program features music of various styles from different times and places, including works by African-American composer William Dawson, Italian composer Niccolo Zingarelli, and others. The Carson Chamber Singers was founded in 1985 as a select performing group of the Carson City Symphony Association. The group has been conducted since 2012 by Michael Langham and performs several concerts each year. Tickets are $10 for general admission and free for age 16 and under. This concert is funded, in part, by a grant from the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
