national arts and humanities month
What is National Arts and Humanities Month (NAHM)? Held every October and coordinated by Americans for the Arts, NAHM is the largest annual celebration of the arts and humanities in the nation. From arts center open houses to mayoral proclamations to banners and media coverage, communities across the United States join together to recognize the importance of arts and culture in our daily lives.
NAHM will kick off with the announcement of the winning video entered in the "Why Arts Matter" video contest! There is still time to participate. Why do the arts matter to you? Whatever your reason, we want to hear from you.
The winning video will be shown on the 44 1/2 MTV screen in Times Square, sharing the story with thousands of people. The winner will even be able to capture the big moment, and all those to come, with a Flip UltraHD Camcorder.
Participate! Add your event to the map, or check to see if an event is in your area.
