Jennifer Wijangco
Jennifer Wijangco is the director of development of Arthouse at the Jones Center, a nonprofit organization creating meaningful opportunities to investigate and experience the art of our time through exhibitions, programs, and commissions of new work. Formerly, Jennifer served for four years as the deputy director of the Texas Cultural Trust, where she started strataTX, a young professionals group supporting creativity in the arts, culture, and economy. Jennifer graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1998 with a bachelor of business administration, major in finance, and a bachelor of arts in art, major in art history. In 2005 she completed a master of arts in arts management, with a certificate in nonprofit management from the University of Oregon. During graduate school, Jennifer interned at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, supporting the capital campaign for the museum’s expansion and renovation. Jennifer is a board member of Yellow Tape Construction Co. and advisory board member of American Repertory Ensemble, both nonprofit performing arts organizations in Austin. Jennifer also served on the Leadership Council of CreateAustin, the city’s community cultural planning project. Previously, she served on the board of the Eugene Ballet Company. Austin Woman Magazine, Jennifer was included in their list of “Young Women to Watch.”
