Every year Americans for the Arts' Emerging Leaders Network offers a broad range of events. Most major Americans for the Arts convenings contain an emerging leader component, but the network also organizes separate events. These events include preconferences, receptions, and Creative Conversations. The goal of the Network is to facilitate both professional and social interactions among emerging leaders and to encourage peer support and the exchange of ideas among the next generation of arts leaders.

National Arts Marketing Project Conference
November 9 - 11, 2013
The annual National Arts Marketing Project Conference is a great opportunity for emerging leaders to learn the latest and greatest about trends in arts marketing, audience engagement, and development. This year’s conference, in Portland, carries the theme “Powered by Community,” and will specifically focus on how arts organizations are reaching deep into communities to engage them with new technologies, new ideas, and new energy. CONVENTION and the LEADERSHIP PRECONFERENCE
Preconference: June 12-13, 2014
Convention: June 13-15, 2014
Nashville is a city of innovation—a city where unlikely partnerships yield amazing results, where communities intermingle and surprise and delight each other, where people wear their art on their sleeves and where music and sculpture and imagination inform every interaction. And in 2014, Nashville will also serve as host for Americans for the Arts’ Annual Convention and the Leadership Preconference!
The 2014 Preconference will focus on bridging generations of leaders, and will provide a unique opportunity to closely engage both within the Emerging Leaders cohort and with mid-career and executive leaders around common ideas.
The opportunity to propose ideas and speakers for the 2014 Annual Convention and preconferences opens up September 1, 2013 and closes October 18, 2013. All submissions are welcome.
Convention and Leadership Preconference registration will open on January 20, 2014 at http://convention.artsusa.org. In the meantime, questions can be emailed to Clay Lord at email@example.com.
