Registration is now open for the 2022 Americans for the Arts Annual Convention! For those interested in and able to travel this spring, a live, in-person event will be held May 18-20 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. Recorded content from this in-person event will also be made available for a fee in a limited time digital on-demand format in June 2022. Visit convention.artsusa.org for more information about the event and how you can participate!

To maintain health and safety protocols, in-person conference attendance will be limited to 500 people. All attendees must be vaccinated, and vaccinations will be verified as part of registration. Additionally, there is a firm registration deadline of May 2, 2022, to attend the in-person event. This is an extension from the original registration deadline that we were able to make at the request of members of the field and partner organizations and working with our vaccine verification partner, Clear HealthPass. Health and safety continues to be our priority, and even with extra time to register, all verifications will be processed in time and all health and safety protocols will be maintained. This will be the final extension. No registrations will be accepted after that date, and no registrations will be processed on site at the event. Registration for the digital recorded content will remain open after May 2. Visit the FAQ page for more details on registration policies, and the Health & Safety page to learn how we’re working to keep attendees safe.

Registration rates for Americans for the Arts members are $499 for the in-person event (which includes access to the recorded digital content) and $149 for digital access only. For non-members, rates are $699 for in-person and $199 for digital access. A limited number of support opportunities are available as part of our ongoing efforts to be inclusive and ensure access to intentionally marginalized communities in our programs and in the field at large. Visit the Registration Support page to learn more and to submit a request for support.

A limited block of rooms is reserved at the Omni Shoreham for the discounted rate of $249/night, which is available from May 15-23 should you want to extend your visit to the nation’s capital. More information about the hotel and traveling to Washington, D.C. can be found on the Travel & Housing page of the Convention website.

As we come together in person for the first time since 2019, attendees at the 2022 Annual Convention will celebrate the transformative, collective strength of creative workers and cultural organizations across the United States; listen to and learn from culture bearers and creative leaders offering wisdom on the way forward; and connect with each other to spark renewal and rebirth in ourselves, our local creative sectors, and our communities.

We look forward to seeing you. We’ve missed you.
