    October 13, 2004—Sign up and be counted! Sign Up and Be Counted! Make sure every nonprofit arts organization throughout the nation has a Dun & Bradstreet number so that the country's creative industries are properly documented.
  • 2004 Election Impact on the Arts report now available.
    November 15, 2004—The Government and Public Affairs staff of Americans for the Arts hosted a lively and informative postelection audioconference on Friday, November 5, to discuss the potential impact of the election on the arts. Based on this program, Americans for the Arts Action Fund has released an analysis of the impact of federal, state, and local elections on arts policy. The 2004 Election Impact on the Arts report looks at the makeup of Congress and state legislatures as well as at the outcome of 34 state and local ballot initiatives that either directly or indirectly impact the arts.

    December 17, 2004—Americans for the Arts welcomes newly elected members to its Emerging Leader, Public Art Network, and United Arts Funds councils. These councils assist in developing programs and resources that benefit its members and also act as advisers by addressing the needs their respected fields.
