FloraJane DiRienzo
FloraJane joined the Denver Commission on Cultural Affairs in 2017 as a long time arts advocate and administrator. The Denver Commission on Cultural Affairs acts as an advisory board to Denver Arts & Venues' cultural programs Department. Commissioners are strong advocates of the arts and culture, and are committed to the mission and goals of Cultural Programs and Denver Arts & Venues. Previously, FloraJane worked at the largest non-profit theatre organization, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts for five years overseeing Community and Audience Engagement efforts. She lead the organization through the development of a Community Engagement program to increase public value and better engage the Metro Denver seven county communities. She also oversaw the Audience Development team including group sales, student matinees, corporate sales and strategic partnerships.
In 2015 she completed the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts, Leadership in the Arts program, which focuses on preparing local leaders to be more engaged arts advocates. FloraJane began her career at a mid-size conversation museum, The Wildlife Experience FloraJane built dynamic and profitable community events growing attendance and sponsorship revenue year over year. FloraJane graduated with an Art History and Communications degree from the University of California Santa Barbara.
