Ashraf Hasham
Ashraf Hasham is Urban Gateways’ Program Manager for Advocacy & Engagement. He comes to this role from Seattle’s TeenTix, a revolutionary arts access & youth empowerment organization where he has played multiple roles over the years, most recently as Director of Partnerships & Programs. Ashraf is also involved with Seattle-based nonpartisan civic engagement organization Citizen University, where he helps out with their new Youth Power Project. Recently, he served as the youngest member of the Seattle Arts Commission, by appointment of the Mayor and City Council. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration from Wagner College in New York City, and gained his chops in the editorial department at Aperture magazine, the development & communications departments at the Henry Art Gallery (a contemporary art museum at the University of Washington), and as the front-of-house manager at On the Boards (Seattle’s renowned contemporary performance mainstay). Ashraf can be seen in the wild on various dance floors as well as at arts events and live music venues around his new home of Chicago.
