In her non-working time, she volunteers to provide educational opportunities to people of all ages who want to learn how to use tools and become more creative. She coordinates workshops at Make Nashville, Nashville Tennessee’s first non-profit makerspace. Ms. Deafenbaugh is active in the national maker movement and believes in the power of makerspaces to transform communities.
Jennifer studies aerial arts and early 20th century swing dance styles, doodles, plays ukulele, gardens and builds planetariums for fun. She spends her vacations traveling to conferences and volunteering for art and technology events and film festivals.
