Zachary Saffa is a musician, educator, and arts advocate from New York. A passionate proponent of interdisciplinary learning and art-making, Zach holds a B.S. in Mathematical Economics from Wake Forest University and a Masters degree in Piano Performance from UNC School of the Arts, where he was a student of Dr. Dmitri Shteinberg and served as Student Body President of the university. After many oscillations between the worlds of art and business, including two years as a consultant and two tours studying and teaching in Italy, Zach is again based in New York City, where he works at Lincoln Center Education and attends Columbia University Teachers College. Zach maintains his artistic balance, teaching students of all ages around the city and performing both solo works and as the co-founder of Newborns Theater Troupe, and his life balance, as an avid and former semi-professional Ultimate Frisbee player.
