Jackie Collins is the executive director of Idaho Arts Charter, a K-12 public school in Nampa, Idaho. Jackie was the original founding principal of the school and has traveled the United States visiting “arts” schools and stealing great ideas to bring home to Idaho. The school has a variety of unique and innovative arts programs and is a leader in the state. Jackie and her staff have been awarded more than $3 million in grants and awards over the past 11 years, and she is currently expanding the school with another building and an additional 550 students.
Jackie first attended college at the University of Idaho for her BS in Secondary Education, then Boise State University for her MA in Special Education and finally the University of Idaho for her Education Specialist in Administration. She’s been a career educator for 35 years and raised two brilliant sons who are mechanical engineers. Jackie in an avid traveler and often takes her three talented and cute grandchildren with her.
