Kim joined the Americans for the Arts as the State and Local Government Affairs Coordinator in June 2012. She supports tracking legislation and ballot initiatives, strengthening statewide arts advocacy and grassroots networks, and promoting state and local public policies that advance the arts and arts education in America. Kim also maintains State Arts Action Network (SAAN) database and produces the weekly online edition of the SAANBox. Kim previously worked with Child Care Aware® of America where she managed grassroots and online advocacy efforts to support quality early learning opportunities for all children. Kim grew up in Rochester, NY and moved to Washington, DC to attend American University, where she received a B.A. in Art History. She enjoys taking advantage of all the museums, concerts, and sporting events the city has to offer. In addition, she spends her spare time cooking, running, and volunteering with the Junior League of Washington.
