Mary Hester is the Director of Programs and Administration at the Arts Education in Maryland Schools Alliance where she is responsible for management of AEMS programming and events, including professional development, convening of arts educators from around the state, and the Maryland Arts Education Conference, formerly known as the Cultural Arts for Education (CAFE) Conference. She facilitates the work of committees on arts education in the state of Maryland and contributes to research, planning, and implementation of state and local advocacy strategies. Mary joined AEMS from the Annie E. Casey Foundation where she worked in Leadership Development. Mary was also an intern in Arts Education at Americans for the Arts in 2014. She is a graduate of UMBC where she completed her Master's in Public Policy in 2015 and her Bachelor of Arts in Arts Advocacy and Dance in 2014.
