Roger assumed the role of membership manager with Americans for the Arts in September 2011. He previously held positions within the organization as customer care and data entry coordinator and a contracted position in the Membership Department in 2009. He brings more than 10 years of customer service experience in some of the retail industry’s most challenging markets to his new position to serve Americans for the Arts’ growing membership base.
Roger earned a B.A. in English-creative writing with a minor in art history from The University of Houston in 2005 and is currently pursuing a M.A. in professional studies with an emphasis in management and leadership development at Towson University. With his roots in Baltimore City, Roger’s graduate work focuses on researching and developing new ways to reignite membership and participation within the city’s ethnic social clubs. He is also an avid member of the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library Book Club, Baltimore Chapter.
