Artist Cecil Balmond's Snow Words flies in from the mountains outside and settles into the lobby of the Crime Detection Lab in Anchorage, Alaska. It takes shape in columns of alternation - standing up, serried and staccato. LED lights power the forms to give warmth and the art work acts as a talisman for the users of the building, the light bars are symbolic code for the forensic research they undertake. Snow Words was recognized by the 2013 Public Art Network Year in Review.
