
Krista Whaley
Team: Meetings & Events
Krista Whaley joined the Americans for the Arts team in August 2017 as the Meetings and Events Associate and has since begun a new role as Meetings and Events Coordinator. In her position with Americans for the Arts she contributes to the planning of Board meetings, council meetings, National Arts Awards gala and other programs hosted by the organization.
The arts have always played an active role in her life as she attended schools that stressed the importance of the arts for students. Krista attended George Mason University where she received her Bachelors of Arts in Film and Video studies and pursued a minor in Tourism and Events Management. During her time as an undergraduate she interned with the Rehoboth Beach Film Society as well as Live Nation Entertainment at the Fillmore in Silver Spring.
Krista was recently awarded the honor of being a part of the 2020 Professional Convention Management Association’s (PCMA) class of 20 in Their Twenties for her accomplishments thus far in the business events industry and contribution’s to American’s for the Arts’ events.”
