Lost in Translation: The Narrowing of the American Mind
This article discusses the indifference of the American public culture to the experiences of other cultures based on the lack of literary work being translated from foreign languages into English. The author notes that Americans, who are notoriously monolingual, are exposed to the perspectives of authors who only write in English, thus losing the ideas of millions.
