The study was conducted using a nationwide online survey with 4,026 respondents, representing all 50 states. Respondents were U.S. residents ages 18 or over who were double-confirmed for interest in cultural events and attendance to at least one cultural activity in the past year. The study defines cultural participation as attendance to a specific range of cultural activities, such as museums/art exhibits, theater, music, file festival, opera, zoos, botantical gardents, and more.
