Americans for the Arts is revamping its membership program with an eye toward equity, value, and service. We look forward to launching a revitalized program on July 1, 2023. Any membership purchased AFTER JULY 1, 2022 will expire on July 30, 2023 when the new program launches. You will be offered a discounted membership renewal rate if you wish to sign up for the new program at that time.

Ideal for students, independent artists, consultants, and arts professionals not affiliated with an organization.
Individual Memberships run on an anniversary cycle and expire one year after the membership join date.
Ideal for arts organizations, including local arts agencies, service organizations, visual and performing arts organizations, and universities. With this option, your organization holds the membership and gives benefits to their staff, students, or other individuals associated with the organization. Choose your membership level below based on the number of individuals you would like to receive benefits.
Organizations at the Core Level or higher can also assign benefits to an unlimited number of board members as of October 2020.
All organizational memberships run on a calendar cycle and expire on December 31 each year, regardless of the organization’s join date.

Individual Members Renewal Information
Individual memberships run on anniversary cycles, expiring a year from the date of purchase.
Individual memberships are nontransferable. If an organization purchases the individual's membership and the employee leaves the organization, the membership stays with the employee, not the organization.

If your organization is unable to join at the suggested rates above, please consider becoming a Digital Member for $30.
Upon joining or renewing your organization’s membership, please submit staff/board/commission names, titles, e-mail addresses to [email protected] to ensure that they receive access to Americans for the Arts member benefits.
