Americans for the Arts is thrilled to welcome Carolyn Clark Powers as its incoming National Arts Awards Chair and as the namesake of its Lifetime Achievement Award. Powers is a consummate supporter of the arts and brings her unbridled energy and enthusiasm to the Awards, where she has formerly served as a co-chair.

The NEA will make 1,023 awards totaling $74,326,900 to nonprofit arts organizations in all 50 states plus five U.S. jurisdictions. This funding is dedicated to the NEA’s Art Works and State and Regional Partnerships grant categories.

Many Americans for the Arts members will receive these awards to beneift their local communities.

Americans for the Arts has placed an ad in the Chronicle of Philanthropy announcing Transforming America's Communities through the Arts, a comprehensive, three-year initiative to increase understanding of the value of the arts and investment in the arts.
