KRIS wine and Americans for the Arts have teamed up again to help support arts education through the Art of Education contest. Now in its 5th year, the contest awards 16 schools in the US a total of $25,000 in grants to improve academic achievement through quality arts education. As more states continue to cut arts education budgets, every extra dollar towards arts education helps!

Visit “The Art of Education” Facebook App to vote for your favorite K-12 public school to win funding for their arts education programs. Participants 21 years and older can vote up to one time per day throughout the duration of the program. When the program ends on October 31, the school with the winning number of votes will be awarded $5,000. The next five schools receiving the top number of votes will receive $2,000. Schools that rank sixth through 16th in total number of votes will receive $1,000.

“Winebow is thrilled to be partnering with Americans for the Arts for the fifth year on the ‘Art of Education’ campaign,” said David Townsend, CEO of The Winebow Group. “This anniversary is an important milestone and is one to celebrate as we look back at the positive impact this campaign has had on arts education in schools all over the country.”

At the end of this year’s contest, over 100 schools will have benefited from KRIS Wine’s generosity through the Art of Education contest. To see firsthand the effect these grants have had on these winners, watch the “KRIS Wine’s Art of Education Campaign -- 5th Year Anniversary” YouTube video.

“In my three years of being responsible for managing the KRIS wine Art of Education campaign I have seen it catch on like wildfire,” said Desiree B. Mitchell, marketing manager of Winebow.  “It’s so exciting to see a campaign like this go viral and have new participants every year. Being a mother of two small children I see firsthand how schools are losing funds and cutting out art classes. This campaign is fantastic in helping schools with the financial support they might need to add arts to the school experience for children.”
