As of mid-October, nonprofit arts and cultural organizations have suffered financial loses of an estimated $14 billion due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Approximately 95% of artists and creative workers have lost income and 63% are fully unemployed.

Yet, we know the arts have been essential to our nation’s healing as we turn to music, dance, storytelling, streaming services, craft, and more—and we know the arts will be a key to recovery in our communities.
