New Research by the NEA and U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis KEY FACTS Arts and culture contributed $704.2 billion, 4.2% of the GDP in 2013. This number represents a 32.5 percent growth in GDP contribution between 1998 and 2013. Between 1998 and 2013, arts and cultural production grew by $165 billion or 32.5 percent.
