Ghost Barn
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Ghost Barn is an interactive sculpture based on the lines and architectural forms of rural Wisconsin barns and sited adjacent to the ruins of an old farmstead. The frame anchors large, billowing, naturally animated fabric that has the potential for large and small movements depending on the significantly variable wind conditions of this site. The installation is of a large enough scale to be experienced in a brief moment while passing on the road while also providing contemplative, ephemeral and interactive experiences for visitors on foot, who are invited to physically enter the sculpture. As part of the Art D-Tour event, collaged video of imagery gathered from the site was projected onto the sculpture, adding another layer of immersive texture.
